My elementary school ago daughter loves these books. Glad I found the series. This particular one is about Eleanor of Aquitaine - mother of Richard the Lionheart and Prince John of Robin Hood fame. I love the mix of historical fiction along with actual facts and photos at the backs of the books. Great way to introduce other cultures into my child's life. She has been fascinated with history and I give some credit to these books. We just returned from a trip to the United Kingdom and we saw references to Queen Eleanor in a lot of the places we visited and each and every time her name came up my daughter would get excited and say "I read about her!". Got most of the books used - always high quality. Very impressed.

My granddaughter is reading The Royal Diaries series and we could not find them in book stores so we searched the web. We are happy we found it. It was in good shape and arrived before Christmas.

These books are a great way for young girls to learn history. I'm 26 and I even learned a few things!
I loved the story, my 9 year old said it was boring. I think she may like it better if she rereads it in few years.
Great book
I have always loved this series. At age 26, I still love to pick up one of these books and read through them. This book is done very well, indeed. Very accurate and extremely engaging and interesting at the same time. This book started my fascination with Eleanor of Aquitaine after never having even heard of her. These books jump-started my fascination with women in medieval/renaissance historical fiction. I love these books so much!!!~
I read this book when I was in 6th grade (junior in college now) and fell completely in love with the series. Eleanor princess of Aquatine was such an amazing women and despite her mishaps in her marriage she was a wonderful leader and every young girl should aspire to be like her.
